Galápagos day one: North Seymour
After finally getting to the ship and getting settled, we took the zodiacs to North Seymour Island for a hike. It was beyond expectation. Here's a partial list of what we saw: land iguanas, marine iguana, blue-footed boobies, magnificent frigate birds, great frigate birds, lava lizards, racer snakes, brown pelicans, gulls and petrels, sea lions. And by saw, I mean stood next to or walked around. Yes, this booby walked right in front of me to stand on the rock at my feet. Amazing. But it's been a very long two days, and we start very early tomorrow. :)
[ugh. Once again, the iPad will not load photos to blogger. Grr. Apologies.]
